Opera on Tap is pleased to announce its latest new music initiative: The Roadworks Series. Every year, OOT will commission a new made-for-the-bar opera with the intent of premiering it in NYC at one of our select watering holes and subsequently touring it to several of our regional Chapters. We are pleased to launch this series with the presentation of a new 25 minute opera by composer James Barry and librettist Timothy Braun entitled SMASHED: The Carrie Nation Story. Come and be a part of the creative process at this public reading of the latest draft of the libretto by professional actors, directed by Shela Xoregos. The evening will culminate in a performance of a recently completed aria from the opera. NO COVER!
